It will be interesting to see if it ever makes it to Bonneville.

I think it is more about Polaris building up the brand and new engine  by judging how many places that has popped up on the web in the last week.

This is the second place it's appeared on this site. With the dustbin type fairing it's illegal in any of the lsr organizations as far as I know. As Trent said above it's probably a bit of clever marketing by Polaris. The new Indians should be interesting. It's great that the American motorcycle industry is really expanding. I only hope that a few continue to stay around. I'd like to see some of the manufacturers try the entry level market.

That shape was what I originally wanted to build back in 2006.  There were no classes that it could run in as mentioned previously. Can something like that run at Cook's for time, only?

Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

Here is what happens. Polaris books some time on the salt. Shoots a feel good commercial to roll out the new Indian powerplant. Said commercial invokes images of Burt and ties the new to the old. In the midst of the commercial shooting the happen to set a "record". They use the "record" in their pitch. They pull a segment of the metric cruiser and HD market over to buy into the "latest cool"

If you look at the sheet metal over the engine you see bumps to clear the engine.

Burt didn't have bumps in the sheet metal. There were holes, and the valve springs were visible.

The joke was that he didn't need a tach to shift, he just waited until the valves floated and thumped him in the chest.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

It would be hard to run RWB at BUB on a fast bike.  We did that last year and at the end of the two mile, while accelerating, it is time to shut down.  It would be easy to roll off the throttle when on a runway or at Pendine where there are solid things in front of you.  At B'ville there are miles of clear track ahead and it is frustrating.
