I sure thought I remembeered seeing the Ferguson car's class markings on the car as something or other starting with an "X".  So just now I grabbed the rulebook and took a look, and sure enough, all the classes with the name of Ferguson as the car owner -- all of the classes start with an "X".  There are XO and XF and XXF and XXO and maybe more.  But that seems to imply they're running flatheads.

Now - to address my motorcycle-tainted ignorance -- the Jimmy isn't a flathead, is it?  Or am I getting all farkled up here?

PS  How're your eyes?

Thanks, Stan -- you convinced me to go through the car engine class rules.  But - "V" is the specific designator for Vintage, right?  Yet -- while "X" in general says it's a flathead, I see that XO is either a flathead or an inline OHV engine (other specifics, too).

So - I think we're both either cornfused or suffering from drought.  Nancy and I just got out of the hot tub - what's your excuse?

V and X are both Vintage engine classes.  They can run in non-vintage body classes.  Really -- it's easier than the MC classes -- and less, too.

Toclub is asking about the ex Ermie Immerso streamliner that the Ferguson's put the turbines into.  When it runs it should be fun to watch. Tony

Slim,

You are farkled with the car classes., I would try to explain but, you have to old(like me, 70+) to know what came before.

We will be at the Ferguson race shop on Staurday and more than likely eating lunch off the top of the turbine streamliner.

Mike,

I know Ferguson purchased the old AA500 Patterns (Austin-Aries 426 Chrysler) is this the block they will be using in the car? or are they using a version of the ardun block they make, and if so how are they making the chrysler heads work on the ardun block with the spacing on the center cylinders? I am confused, and need some clarification.  :? :? :?

Thanks for any help,

Tom G.
