A bike guy responds to Dallas' "...random alphabet soup of classes (for bikes)..." by saying that sure, cars are so much more understandable in class designation.

After all - who could be confused by something running in C/CGALT or XXO/BF or I/VBFPRO?

At least bike classes tell, in plain numbers and not secret code letters, the engine size.

Over to you, Dallas.

Oh i agree, The car classes are as or more confusing. But the car classes are the devil I know. 40+ years of following car classes. Plus you bike guys (and gals) deserve a hard time.
Records or parts, I didn't come all this way not to break something.

Somebody needs to AGAIN explain why a NASCAR class can't work.

It could be made to work, but why?  What need would it fulfill?

Why should there be a NASCAR class?  :?

Or a Formula One class?  :?  :?

Or a vintage IMSA GT-U class?  :?  :?  :?

Or an Indy car class?  :?  :?  :?  :?

I can't think of a reason to include them.

Bring on the NASCAR class!

Just think of all the money we could raise for Save the Salt by fining the owners and drivers!

Half as many wheels -- twice as many classes.

With that said, all is equal on a wheel per class basis.

Oh wait, I forgot about the sidecars.

It's that time of year again... the time where I try to search for any spare hotel rooms. It looks like the motor is going to work and the rest of the bits are migrating to a central spot in the shop. If anyone has extra rooms they need to unload, please let me know! Thanks!

It is pretty easy to write the code to crawl a site to harvest email addresses and phone numbers. Fortunately, I don't many junk calls on my cell.

If anyone is interested there is a class for Vintage Oval Track VOT, and Midget Vintage Oval Track MVOT. But they have to be a style used from the 1920's through 1957, and the engines have to be pre 1948 design engine blocks, ie no modern OHV V8's or blowers are allowed.

If you want to run your NASCAR vehicle for a record then just enter it as a streamliner. As long is it has 4 wheels, does not use modified production bodies and at least two of the wheels are covered it's legal.
See, no need for a special NASCAR class, they already have a record class they can run in.

C gas streamliner.  I'm confident they can find the additional 125 mph.

Better get those blue hats ordered . . .
