Lost about 12 inches of the lip 75 miles out of Vegas a couple of years ago.  Took a year to find someone to weld it.  Not much room for another bolt pattern, eh?

Stan, do you know what ever happened to the Team Fercockta roadster?

No, but I see Goofy from time to time.  I'll try to remember to ask him.

Speaking of that roadster -- If you'll look in the current Rule Book under El Mirage records, it still holds the D/Blown Fuel Record from 1975 at 223.320, just 5 MPH less than Teague's C record, a stout 228.554 in 1983.

It also, for 25+ years as I care to remember, held the F/Gas (Fuel?) Roadster record with a mechanically-injected MoPar slant-6 with no butterflies, only a metering block.

They offered me a D motor to put in my real street roadster for a shot at the record, but I declined.  I'm sorry now.
