Motorcycle class help
« on: January 27, 2013, 11:11:59 AM »
I am going off a rule book a couple years old (2010) and was wondering if my frame is raked would that put me into the "A" class insted of "M"? i would perfer "A" class but also seen if the bike techincally fits into "m" class then thats where it would run. my bike i believe would for all purposes fit "m" class but with my slight rake and offset top clamp to clear the innercooler i dont think i can get the wheel base to be within 10% of stock for the "m" class. btw this bike is a gen 1 hayabusa, and has a modified mcxpress race kit with a 20% bigger then normal air to air innercooler, thats why the frame is raked with offset top clamp, also has a double braced 3 to 8 over swingarm, so even if i find a stock swing arm iam not sure i'll meet the wheel base requirement for "m" class.
also one last question, anyone know what tire will pass tech, i remebr there was a big issue with running zr rated tires over a certain mph.
thank you for any help.

A raked frame won't put you in A, but 10% over will.
You will need a racing purposes tire, I'm sure Bridgestone has one in Busa sizes.  If Fred Vance doesn't chime in here, send him a PM.

Bridgestone BT003 race tires work great and are legal.
