It's at $25,000 & has met reserve. They didn't want a lot of money for it.
Anybody know who's bidding?

Dempsey had a mild stroke last year and is cleaning out the racecars.  Besides the streamliner above, they also have this landspeed racer listed:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/221181810581  (given starting price it is a great deal given investment)

Wish the pricing for the streamliner was this last year, but person I talked with representing it had an extra digit added to the front of the asking price.  Thus I walked away.

One thing with the streamliner is that the driver can't have broad shoulders.  No battery pack included.  Hopefully it will run down the salt upcoming with battery power again.

Defintely not a lot of money either but don't those Nascar body cars run T/O on the salt?

6 hours left on the liner, that is cheap, the body would run that much or more.  Someone will be getting a bargain... the other one, a good mile or 1.5 car... TO on the salt but lots of good stuff... Silver State anyone?

OK, I'll be the dummy that asks -- is there really so much critical information that the dashboard NEEDS 14 gauges?  It reminds me of ads for some Western Star semi tractors.  They're high-end equipment, and the ad copy often includes things like "every option you can think of" or "More gauges than you've ever seen".

I'd ask about the gauges over on the far right -- how's the driver going to see them while he's busy driving - - but I think that's not the big issue.

I would be surprised if someone doesn't bid on the sedan just to buy the driveline...sell the body later..

His shop is about 3 miles from where I live been there a few times. I'd guess the Monte Carlo might being built for the Silver State. Years ago he had an Impala SS sedan which did that.

Looks like you could put 1/2 dozen Hayabusa's in the liner.............JD

Yep, thats what I was thinking or a turbo'd LS engine would fit.
There's also a lakester in the background there too!
There's also lots of content in the Monte for the buck.

I also see that other Arivett liner in the background. I remeber reading about it in HRM in the 80s. I forget the details.

Thought that one might be the rear engine funny car that NHRA never approved...
Hard to tell from the pictures
but the liner is headed to Colorado
Marty has always loved that liner, he has had a model of it on his dresser for years... kinda looks like a miniature Marlo car.
Going to a good home
