We'll look forward to it Max. You did an awesome job yesterday with the interviews. The sound, even if it's only part time adds sooooooo much to the overall internet experience and capturing history is a real bonus.

Sprinkles don't stop racers!!  (Not LSR racers anyway   :-D  )  and since I was up all night, I feel I can say with complete accuracy that there were no more sprinkles or showers between midnight and 8 am.  There was a lovely breeze all night and it was quite warm, didn't even need a sweater when outside!  So, I'd say............SSS will let us know as soon as possible, but I'm betting on the return runs ummm...running!!

i left Wendover at 6 30 this morning. Cant say what the racing surface looked like by the highway side was under water... 7 miles out could be a vastly different story....

Racing is going on as I type.  We're headed out there now, Nancy driving.  I called Ray.  He's in line on the 130 course, which is running.  Record returns (on the regular course) have been completed and qualifying has begun.

Ray reports that the club officials are considering whether they should move the regular course.  Whether move it because of the wet, or move it because of wear and tear from the first two days -- I don't know yet, but will find out and let you know.

This seeemed to me a smaller meet then in the past. Aaron Wilson was back with his open nitro bike, was good to see him and his crew. Team Vesco was hammering hard and couldn't get any more out of his D motor posting some good speeds but just not enough, Sunday they were swapping a larger engine in with Eric driving. Hammands were running with I think Tanis Driving but it was rare to see them leave not in impound. They were cleaning and getting ready to leave last night. Kudos to Greg Watters for posting the fastest record in SCTA history and a great first run of 256 mph. John Minnono is always after it, first run he ran right on his record in the 225 range and was only getting 9 lbs of boost, he said he was 20 lbs shy of what he generally runs. He made some changes added some nitro and bypassed his electronic controller and is going on spring pressure. There is some great stuff happening on salt, sorry you all couldnt hear on radio. George Fields crew as usually the pranksters of the salt, George had a middle mile of 288 mph. The closest thing you will ever hear to Al Teague when he ran.

Stainless piloted our Amo-Steele liner to an exit speed of 242 mph on our first checkout pass. A missed shift on the push truck was the error on that run losing needed space. We had a roller failure on one of our hydraulic lifters that prevented any further runs for us.

Jon, thanks for once again being a reporter.

At least you apparently didn't eat a bunch of parts.

Quick comment:  The #444 Vesco car just ran a 319 last mile.

Spud Carver just ran 121 on his old Panhead '78  #8113  on a 132 record.

Mark DeLuca on #3182 chasing a 217 record on the Guppy bike is next.  He qualified with a 222 but didn't back it up. He's on the way.  Send and refresh.

My oh my, twisting it pretty tight .  He's at the three 224.742 quarter mile,  first mile 224.,142  middle mile 171.038   - pulled back to save the motor for later.  Nice run, Mark.  About 3 MPH in the bank for tomorrow's run.

Bike 1131 running on a 182 record.  Suzuki Titan motor in the bike.  Gary Lewis rider, at the quarter mile he's running 153.639,  first mile 127.187 and slowing.

Here comes George Fields in the #125 Trackmaster BFCC.  Record is a tad over 300, car is away.  Yesterday he nicked a course marker -- not a big hurt to the car.

Quarter mile 261,  first mile 276.086,  middle mile 304.050, last mile 316.449 That'll do it!

Ray Buck/Therat just left the line on the 130 course -- but no reports yet about his speeds.  This morning he said he had two more runs (in his allotment).  This one would be the first of those.  Dang, I wish they'd report the runs over on that course.
