This seeemed to me a smaller meet then in the past. Aaron Wilson was back with his open nitro bike, was good to see him and his crew. Team Vesco was hammering hard and couldn't get any more out of his D motor posting some good speeds but just not enough, Sunday they were swapping a larger engine in with Eric driving. Hammands were running with I think Tanis Driving but it was rare to see them leave not in impound. They were cleaning and getting ready to leave last night. Kudos to Greg Watters for posting the fastest record in SCTA history and a great first run of 256 mph. John Minnono is always after it, first run he ran right on his record in the 225 range and was only getting 9 lbs of boost, he said he was 20 lbs shy of what he generally runs. He made some changes added some nitro and bypassed his electronic controller and is going on spring pressure. There is some great stuff happening on salt, sorry you all couldnt hear on radio. George Fields crew as usually the pranksters of the salt, George had a middle mile of 288 mph. The closest thing you will ever hear to Al Teague when he ran.
Stainless piloted our Amo-Steele liner to an exit speed of 242 mph on our first checkout pass. A missed shift on the push truck was the error on that run losing needed space. We had a roller failure on one of our hydraulic lifters that prevented any further runs for us.
