Mary Hawley on course now in the #31 Burkdoll truck.  That's the vehicle with the Suzuki bike motor, and the truck already holds the record on which she's running.  Bummer -- another turnout, this one about the 1 1/2.  Now she's turning to the inside and fire/ambulance is rolling.

A minute later -- driver is out and fine, not sure about damage to the vehicle -- will letcha know.

Well, well -- are rods supposed to be sticking out the side of the block?  No?  I guess we know why she turned out.  No parts on the track is the preliminary report. so we'll be back racing pretty quick.

Ellen Wilkinson will be emailing the run log from yesterday - within the hour, she tells me.  Once I get it I'll post it.  It'll likely be clunky raw data, so will Dean or someone step up and make it easy to decode?  Stay tuned.

Still running out there, but I'm going to go look at  the Shootout course -- a potential racer, who shall remain un-named but his initials are Rocky Robinson, wants a course condition update.  Ah, the sacrifices we make for racing, hey?

Be back soon.

Okay, I'm calling in some Meridix from my home office in Webster Groves.  Just the blues.  Just me babbling.  Just my wife screaming and my oldest son being shy.  But, I  have this idea.  I think ol' Max will ring up, umm, maybe GLEN, if he would go on speaker phone with me and talk about the old days of Bonneville.

Anyone else I should interview who is home enjoying a good Sunday and ready to tell stories about the salt flats?

Glen, don't answer the phone, it's me . . .

Max, Please turn the music off and put the cel speaker phone closer to the microphone.  Chris was kindof hard to hear.  Can barely hear Glen

I can barely hear Glen,... but you are loud and clear Max,  Can you turn up the cel phone volume?  I can just hear Glen with the volume turned all the way up and my ear next to the speaker.  Makes it really loud when you talk Max.
