While on the way from the starting line to the SDRC pits where the Treit & Davenport liner is being displayed, I noticed that "Floating Island" (I think that's what we decided it's called) really IS floating...or maybe I just got the photo upside-down.

Ohh..did I mention that my Canon 7D and my 28-135 lens have both crapped out? We're in fall-back mode with the 40D (and no battery pack) and other lenses...but nothing in the 50-100mm range. Some days just go better than others.
Anyway, when I got to the three "pagoda"-like tents covering the streamliner, I found Harlan Fagan (designer of the new T-550 t-shirts) photographing....
...Hume's grapes on the nose of the liner. Fastest grapes on the planet...well, that's the plan, anyway.
Finally, a low-angle shot of the liner in its carrier with just a few people around it. It got much more crowded...and still is as I write this.
