I'm trying to under stand the rule of nothing larger than a C eng. in M/MP.class.To my way of thinking a 440 in a Dakota would be as stable as the same motor in a/e body mopar.I have a s/10 and was looking at maybe a 427 sbc. I thank you for input/info.

At the time truck only classes were formed the petitiors wanted two separate classes; full size and mid size/mini trucks. There had to be a break in there somewhere and it was decided that a blown C class engine was about all the power the shorter wheelbase S10 could handle.
If all trucks were to be allowed the same engine breaks why would I build a C1500 when I would have to race against a S10 or physically smaller truck?

I wasn't thinking of full&mini competing in the same class, but just the c,eng. limit in mid-mini class.I feel they should be 2 different categories.
I just feel that if a monza can run AA,A,B then a mini should be able to.
Thanks ,Terry
