Suddenly -- It's 1949!
« on: June 26, 2012, 04:27:10 PM »
(or so)

Five Flathead-powered belly tanks entered this year.  Maybe should have a club.  How long is yours?  Who's designing the T-Shirt?

My searching of the Internet didn't turn up an entry list for 2012 Speed Week. Is it available to the public? Where? Or only available via SCTA or BNI membership?

All of those tanks together would make a great photo.

You have to be Not only SCTA/BNI, but also "connected" to get pre-entry info before the program is published.

Actually -- I guess I'm connected.  Like connected for four weeks typesetting every entry and calling dozens of them -- "What does this mean?"  But I get the big bucks for it.  If I could just reduce them about 27% on my copy machine  . . .

Only dozens?  Wow, I feel special, almost connected.

Ah it's okay.  I think there's actually quite a few banger flatheads running this year as well.  We'll get together and take out own photo.   :-P

I'm dragging my flathead powered '36 stakebed out this year.  Would love to be in that photo shoot of the tanks in the background as if it were a support or push vehicle.  Getting there the afternoon of the 12th.

So, to clarify, there is another v-8 60 powered tank?  That is our bucket list project.  Hope a class for the little flatheads gets established.
