Wendover Hotels
« on: June 20, 2012, 01:38:16 PM »
My first year 2010, I camped Sat & was able to get a room for Sunday night w/o a reservation @ the nugget for $200. Last year I got one of the 4 night packages at Montego Bay (the 4 night was all that was available & they would only take bookings online). It's the same story this year as only 4 night packages are available..  I really only want a room for Sat & Sunday night.. Has anybody had experience with just showing up and getting an available room Sat/ Sun??
I mean worst case we head over to SLC or Elko.

By Monday you can usually get a room in Wendover. There will also be last minute cancellations

Ely's the most fun if you're coming that way.  Hotel Nevada -- nevada's highest building (1926).

Is the Hotel Nevada as good as Patricia's Green Lantern (as shown on Geisler's "Hanky Panky" map)?

Don't forge the Stardust Ranch in Ely, where more than one racer has been known to hang out.  I have heard its a very lovely place.  :-o Tony

Both Glen and Glenn seem to be slow to react.

On Aug 6th Doris and I will have been married 58 years.

Carol and Doris have had enough time to dump us but somehow we have survived.

This trip to Speed Week will be my 130th and Doris has already been there once.

If we make it to the 60th I get the quart of Ever Clear that was give to us as a wedding gift.

If she survives and I don't she can break the bottle on her Mothers headstone.
