Private toilets at SpeedWeek
« on: April 15, 2012, 01:59:58 PM »
The portable toilet vendor for SpeedWeek and World Finals is Honey Buckets - and as you probably know, I'm the guy that is the go-between them and SCTA/BNI.  Honey Buckets has asked me to let you know that if you want a toilet of your own for your pit or campsite, or if you want to make arrangements to have them pump the tank in your RV - that you can contact them directly by calling Trevor Inman, HB's guy, at 801 330 7219, emailing him at trevor@nwcascade.com , or sending a note to me to pass on to him.  Please make arrangement soon -- don't wait 'til the middle of July.  He's going to supply about 75 or so to us -- and has to make sure he's got enough for you and the rest of us so needs some time to get everything together.  Ask soon, you hear me? :-o :-o

He'll have information on rates and dates of when he can have your units set up and serviced and picked up after the event, but I'm going to ask him right away now if he'll give me what he assumes he'll be charging youse guys.  By the also way, for "private" toilets he also supplies a padlock and key to help you keep yours "private" and unused.  Return the lock (to me) when you're done an leaving, okay?

Please note that Honey Buckets will provide this service independently of its contract with SCTA/BNI and that SCTA/BNI will take no responsibility for Honey Buckets and its operations.  I just want that to be clear -- HB is offering to do this to help the racers.  If you've got further questions -- maybe I can help, or just get in touch with Trevor, okey-dokey?

I know Trevor and HB crew for different reasons and can say they are great people on a personal level. I could also see clubs renting their own.....

Cool idea for sure.

For your information - and questions, which should be addressed directly to Stainless.  I put "pool stool" into a search engine and got:

I hope it works.  It's not what I expected. . .  I guess these are seats that you can put into your pool so you don't have to stand in the water.  I wonder if they're what Mr. Less meant. . . :|

Stainless,

We don't contract for a 'private room.' Miss a couple of pump dates and you will understand. We just use Ron Main's.

If you get a Portapotty for your pits, make sure you tie it down.  It can get VERY windy on the salt ...

I'm a relative newb on the salt (only 10 years now . . .)

but wouldn't a private pottie rob one of the ambiance/atmosphere of the experence?

Salt Rat, .............. no more than being down wind on a mid afternoon at 100+ degrees, or being first user in the morning, sitting on a wet seat and getting "blue balls" after a bombing mision.............

Bob, Nancy says (after I told her what you just posted) - that you're a skilled wizard with words.  Well, she didn't put it quite that way, but let's just let it ride for now.

Seat covers can be used as "splash down sheets" to avoid "blue balls".
