Basically lakester wheels run naked out in the open, streamliner is totally enclosed.

Only the rear whees are required to have covers, even fenders to put it into the streamliner catagory.

Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

Just think, you can have Keith be your mentor at Maxton, but 1st you need to speeeek hick alabama with a touch of Aussy mix. Keith has a way with words and can even confuse Jack D. at times.

Not sure you have been to  Maxton if not it's a good start, give it a try. and don't tell the local Kops you know him and deny knowing anything about their BAR-B-Q. LOL

Glen  I live 30 miles from Maxton, that and a weekly reader (1969 4th or 5th grade ) got me into this. Yes it's best to ignore Keith. Ido feel sorry for Toyna. She came to n.c. and worked 3-4 days. while Keith was playing down under  (got to fined out how he pulled that off)

Keith will come up with some cock and bull story about how he begged and pleaded and promised Tonya every wish. Nuff said.

Nancy and I weren't at the famous "Laurinburg 17" barbecue event, so I can't say for sure what happened.

Last year the barbecue place right next to the Pine Acres Motel where most of us stay opened up -- I think it's Jerry's Barbecue" -- and we've eaten there a couple of times, Jerry's catered picnics for us at the motel, he even provided the food for the ECTA banquet last year.

ECTA may have a bad barbecue in its history -- but no more.  Glen, you oghta come try it sometime -- you would probably have to quit teasing so much about that one subject (but I'm sure you'd find something else!).

We leave for Maxton this Wednesday morning -- first event of the year -- looking forward to seeing everyone again, seeing Bob Wanner's Honda, seeing Mike Meirele's pickup, seeing all the cars Hot Rod magazine's publicity will have brought there, looking forward to the ECTA Annual banquet, looking forward to Nancy wearing some warm-weather clothes!

Jon, I will try to be good and not slam th BBQ, but Keith has a way of attracting the unusual and weird except for Tonya she's a special lady to keep him under control most of the time. I would love to attend a meet, in fact KT and I have talked about it.

Have a good trip, go fast and be safe. Tell Nancy hello

Isn't the rule 2 wheels enclosed, front or rear? The first year Al ran as a liner the fronts were enclosed and the rears were open with the same live axle that he ran in the lakester. George Wilson, who made them both, then made him a narrow one to enclose under the body.
