I'm not sure where you're going here Bob, but I'll give it a shot.

A salvage title tells a buyer the vehicle has had previous damage enough to be totaled. That means you fixed it and are now selling it. Beware...  In CA I'm pretty sure with a salvage title before you can register and get plates for it, it has to be inspected by the CHP for safety and compliance.

Was that what you're asking?  Larry :|

Nope, I just noticed that at the top of the Forum page a new heading that reads "Salvage Area".
Having raced at Speedweek for fifteen years, I can state to you, with authority, that the term "salvage" is a non sequitor in Land Speed Racing.
First of all, if you run your car on the salt long enough, the result will be "SALVAGE".
If you are a Land Speed Racer. you will push your motor to the poin that it will become "SALVAGE".

Well here is my theory:  While living in the wilds of Northern Michigan (Canada, really) and while your wife (the lovely well inked Mrs. Slim) is out splitting wood, you (with nothing better to do) throw a bolt in the cogs of the brains of the common man: results being that none of us are smart enough to question your motives or authority...................  You got us Slim........................ You really want to know, don't you?

I don't know what the heck "salvage", as in the salvage area, means.  I think Bob Clancy put it there to cornfuse me, too.  I know that when I tried to set up a separate "child board" for SpeedWeek 2012 that said topic went there when i tried to move things.  I don't know how, I don't know why, and maybe I don't need to know.

I think I'll go with the flow here and let the answer work itself out.

Salve is an ointment.  Ben Gay is an ointment.

Age is to enhance a liquor.

Hence, Salvage is to promote Ben Gay.

However, since Ben Gay is not a sponsor, the area is empty.

Same could be said for Prep H.

Now, on other boards, there is often a "hidden" forum, where you put threads to repair them, or merge them, or discuss them with the moderators.  Often called Trash Can on other sites, it exists but normal members never see it.

So following through on that thought -- everyone in this group oughta be able to view the salvage thread.  After all -- does anybody here claim to be "normal"? :-D :-D
