Very interested in your build. We use the 2.3 T for our roadracing car. I hope to see you on the salt.

How I haven't posted here for a bit.
Well I'm a little disappointed in our project right now. We got way behind schedule and about 6 weeks ago we had to figure out what the hell we were doing ( lots of family stuff going on this Summer) . Ultimately we decided we should concentrate on the NA engine and get the car sorted out and then step-up to BGC next year and have the opportunity to shake the turbo car down at El Mirage next year before Bonneville. So we will be going a bit slower than we wanted, but we are taking one step at a time. Just seemed to be the "smart" thing to do.
the rear-end was refreshed by Fortin two weeks ago and several quick change sets have been ordered. Between the MKViii and the Mustang we'll have 4 different sizes of rear tires to play with.
So we'll have the MKVIII with a 375+hp 9,000 rpm Esslinger and we'll have the '88 Mustang again. The Mustang engine had a refresh and made 550hp at 7,000 ( it came out of the car making 495 at 7,000)
The Esslinger will be on the dyno early next week......
I'll post up a few progress pictures later on the project:

I thought I had a few more pics...can't find them.
