My ultimate goal is to get the CRX over 240mph with a H class engine.

The question is Racing season, what are you doing?
1. working with the Fire dept and the racing groups on Salt Flat protection.
2. Trying to get the Bonneville speedway museum site ready for some racer camping during events.
3. Getting a display together for the Salt lake city auto-rama that tells of the racing in Wendover amoung the other things we do here.
4. Wishing for more water so the salt flats will be nice and smooth and white for the racing season.

And to top all of that off I don't even race!!!!!!

I wish there was some way to help, here in south east Idaho we are down wind from Wendover, so I know it isn't good, our ski areas are not even running for lack of snow.  When I went to the meeting in Salt Lake the Wasaches didn't look that dusted either. They say that the Snake River Basin north of us in Wyoming has good snow levels, but that isn't going to help Lake Bonneville.   :x

It looks like the Hot Rod Hoodlums will have four different engines by Keith Dorton available to use in the SR and the RMR. However, I have no idea (yet) of which is going where for Speedweek. James and Corey are tuning up the SR with a new data system, and TomT is doing maintenance on the RMR. The RMR will get a few aero mods, and then we'll go racing!

The big excitement for me is hearing that the 911 will be getting a C engine.

Optimistic plan: run Bonneville with Creel's lakester and our new 5-main banger motor with turbo and EFI.
Realistic plan: run at least one event (either El Mirage or Bonneville) with either the roadster or lakester with either the 3-main mule motor without turbo and with EFI or with the 5-main motor with or without turbo and with EFI.

Right now I'm the road block to getting anything done (besides needing dad to deliver the roadster to my house).  Need to completely wire the EFI and then tune the car.  Between work, my Model A project, and everything else going on in my life, this could take me months to do.  Plus on top of this, we still need to make progress on the new streamliner.

It's going to be a busy year.

For 2012 I have 3 main LSR Goals (2 seem attainable and one possible if I get some travel $$ or sponsor)

1. Take Studebaker to ECTA's new Ohio Mile and get in the 200MPH Club with
my old school N/A C motor on gas.
2. Take Studebaker to LTA's Loring 1.5 Mile venue and get in 200MPH Club with same N/A C motor.

3. Finally get the Studebaker to Bonneville in September for WOS, but with the E motor
either E/CGALT  or get it rebuilt and add Pro Charger to run E/CBGALT.

Work left to do for 1 and 2 above... Change Intake and Carb, Build new Headers, Adjust New vacumn system, Lower the ride height (since Ohio and Loring are much smoother than Maxton) I should be able to lower by 1 to 1.5 inch from Maxton ride height.

Work to do for Bonneville,
Put E motor back together with the new Dart Block I got last fall. Buy all the parts for the Blower system. Chassis Dyno the new setup.

Add a backup fire system to the drivers compartment (already have twin 6.5lb Fire Fox)
Get SFI 20 Driver Suit
Build and Install Step Pan
Order new LSR Tires (already have 4 new 4.5" wheels)
Get another ParaChute from Stroud.

FIND A SPONSOR TO HELP WITH TRAVEL, AND FIND A CREW
