Thanks for the feedback!

Spell check is on my todo list.

Chat line is just a link to a totally separate place, I'd guess just an internet glitch on the slowness.

Well, I realize I have spell check, it puts the squiggly line under words like "oughta".  Yup, it works.  Is that what you're missing?

Aha!  A quick poll, if you don't have smileys and lots of red X's for missing images, are you using IE?  I'm in IE, and it's horrible.  Firefox works fine.

Well, the smilies and images were a problem of the settings being for "landracing.com", but the changes haven't propogated through the system yet, so the forum couldn't find 'em.  I bet the spell check is the same.  Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks for all the feedback, that really helps. :-D :?

Works fine in IE, firefox and chrome, I see the avatars and smilies on the forum.

The propagation thing is kinda like a virus, it goes from machine to machine, looks like OR got hit early.

I see avatars for me (the Chevy PU) and Stratman59, but that's all.  Do you see more than that?

I just logged in directly using landracing.com only and it resolved to the new web site as it should.

I went over to the old bonneville photo thread and I did not see any avatars or any of the images, and got a 404 error when I clicked on an image link so it may still be trying to figure out where things are.

I tried shift reload once to see if that would pull up the images and avatars but no joy.

firefox 8.0.1 on a windows box.

I can also see the images in the gallery if I go out to the first page and click the gallery button.

Well the avatars that are showing up are external links, or (my) newly uploaded one.

The avatar problem is more than just a simple path problem, the image file names are encrypted in the database (why I don't know) and I'm thinking it's a de-cryption problem.

Onward through the fog....

Just an educated guess, but it appears that avatars only show up after that user has logged in to the new server.

Everyone that is active in this thread and the other move thread seems to have an avatar and occasional folks on other threads whom I assume have briefly logged in since the server move. The forum software may not be able to access the profile and avatar until the user has logged in once.
