We use a PC to webcast as Meridix, our carrier, does not have Mac source compatible software.  Jon is getting the webcast on his Macbook in their truck.  It should be working for all Macs.  I'm a Mac guy at home.

What are you saying about Mac? I'm on a Mac and my browser is the latest version of Firefox and I'm not able to listen? Any ideas?

Try going to Meridix, on their link for fans there is a support botton on the top of the page.  The support page, scroll down to the hints for Firefox and Mac OS.  They tell you what players you might need.

Looking at the 2 Club shows Salt Cat may not have been enough for a hat. By their class shown on the Tuesday results the minimum is 210...However it looks like they ran their 206 in the 3 mile so it looking like they can come back and do it....They did blow away the Wilson record by a bunch...........JD

Computers all tend to have their quirks. As long as I know that some MACs are receiving just fine I'll play with mine until it does too. Thanks All!

An update, some photos and...whatever.

First:  The Granite Falls HS car went thru tech this morning.  They seemed to do pretty well, except that the inspector wanted them to have a sealing valve on their fuel tank vent line...which is about one-quarter the size of a very small soda straw.  The scratched their heads over that while we were there with my car.

First photo is the GFHS Urban Concept car in tech.

Next is the discussion about the vent and valve.

Then we got my car back thru tech by using a nylon ratcheting tie-down strap as a battery hold-down.  We explored a whole buncha different options and this was the one we decided on.  I asked the inspector if that would be ok while at the drivers meeting and he said, "fine."  Apparently we weren't the only ones with stock Chevy battry mounts to get bounced, cuz the parts store in town had completely sold out of 'em.  We also had to tape the wheel balancing weights, add a retainer for the braided fuel line and replace a plastic valve stem cap with a metal one.  All in all, it wasn't too bad.

The photo is of Chris Lindh (the guy who provided the carb for me and made it possible to get here) after he took it thru tech.

They've changed rules or interpretation of 'em this year.  Last year two of us entered the same car (truck) at the same time and took turns running it.  This year they won't allow a 2nd person to to enter until the first driver completes his runs.  They've also eliminated the calibration run (which allowed the first driver a 6th run) and I wish they hadn't done that.
$10 a gallon) and headed for the starting line.  More on that after a while.

Glen, we had the second glitch of the day, same thing as this morning.  Both occurred when I stepped outside the airconditioed semi-official Landracing mobile studio to take pictures or chat.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  I'll stay glued to the equipment.

I would like to clear up the Salt Cat issue.

The Bonneville 200 MPH Club website shows a minimum speed for membership of 210 MPH.  The 200 MPH Club record of members, records/minimums has an open qualification speed of 200 MPH.  The website minimum for the XXO/BGL class refers to the XO/BGL class where the record is now 211.  Thre are sometimes errors between the website and the current record book. When there is a discrepency between the website and the record book the record book always triumphs.  The Salt Cat has the record of 204 MPH. Doug Grieve, the driver, is the newest member of the Bonneville 200 MPH Club.  Congratulations to Salt Cat racing.
