Thanks, it's good to know, just... *sigh* I can do it but I sure won't be a happy lab rat.

Be a few years though, the build money is evaporating while I work on this unemployed mechanical engineer thing.

You can have a heart attack and die on the treadmill.  It helps to have a doctor nearby who monitors you.  This is on advice from my late mother (she was a MD), who was careful to check out people destined for a treadmill test.

My jock kid (also a MD) has a room full of professional gym equipment and he and his jockette wife use it every day.  I can't even bring myself to watch them in action - I'm too old for that sort of stuff and would only hurt myself.

How does that apply for us FIA (4 wheels or more) guys. I already hold an aviation class 3 medical and a CDL medical. Will I now need a another
type of physical? My EKG, blood pressure, blood sugar, vision, hearing and those things passed with flying colors. The doctor thought I might
need a psychiatric evaluation but passed me anyway.

My treadmill test is on the 25th of this month.  This evening I will have a couple of beers, a slice of pizza, and a huge bowl of ice cream.  Then it will be time for a quick "get into shape" program.

Had a nuclear stress test last year, and they did have a doctor standing by.  It was a good thing cause when they put the cocktail into my IV, the pulse monitor when apecrap and then stopped, it felt like somebody had put a 2000 pound lead door on top of me.  I figured that this is it, the doctor was pacing back and forth frantically and then it started back up like an old john deer tractor.   :-o

Anvil, you are not alone.  Benefit take backs, days off with no pay, wage freeze, etc.  My racing budget is zip...nada... nothing, and I have an engineering job!

Ed:

I've got no information on FIA rules.  Sorry.  I wouldn't be surprised if you could find the answer from others in the FIA record chase, of course.  Two-wheel folk -- yup, for sure.  Gotta get all of those physical things out of the way.
