More photos fro Speed Week 2009
« on: December 30, 2009, 04:02:18 PM »
After months of chasing my tail and doing other stuff, I finally put my nose to the grindstone, my shoulder to the wheel and my ear to the ground...ever try to work in that position? Kinda awkward.  Nonetheless, I got the last of the Speed Week photos edited and some html stuff created and slapped it on the server:
http://www.chevyasylum.com/lsr/bsf2009/sw/Welcome.html

There are 3 sections on that page.  First are the "Quick Pix" that I rushed to get done shortly after the end of the meet.

The last section is made up of photos done by Pork Pie.  They're great.

Finally, the middle section is "the rest", those that I finally finished today.

Hope you enjoy 'em.

After Jon and Bob found a solution for my pictures at landracing, I like to go through my 2008 picture, too, when I finished the 2009 season.

But you will find my picture also in Ray the Rat's world at the Chevy Asylum - Ray was so kind to park  :-D my work there before.

Thanks, Ray, that I can show my picture between your collection.

And thanks to Jon and Bob, too.

All a great, safe and successful year 2010.

Any pics of World of Speed 2008 or Speed week 2008?

After a rather brief search, the 2008 photos were found here:
http://www.chevyasylum.com/lsr/bsf2008/Welcome.html

I didn't cover all the events in 08 as I did in 09.  SSS gave me the opportunity to work with him on providing "forumcasts" starting with the Streamliner Shootout 08.  After that we covered all the meets except Speed Week together.  It was a wonderful opportunity for me and I'll always be grateful to him for helping me get my foot in the door, so to speak, when he told me that he'd do what he could to get me and invitation to the Shootout.  That was before it became an open event.  Nonetheless, his help was beyond measure and I hope we can pull the same stunts off on 2010...and maybe better.  I'm all up for it.

I'm going thru the photos from the BUB meet now.  I'm about halfway thru with "The Rest."  I'm gonna take a minit or two to play with my organ....I mean practice playing my Hammond organ....well...you know.  I've neglected it for to long and I need to get some keyboard time.

The weather here in Utah sucks:

That's from my photoblog that I try to update as often as I can.  It was shot on December 8th, but it looks identical to today's mess.
But the harsh winter weather has given me some time to catch up on other projects...like my organ.   :-D
