Rider Needs some quick Help!!

Hi All,
   I just received an email from a BUB entrant who needs something ASAP.
He is signed up for a gas class, but wants to also enter into a fuel class.

He needs to install some form of 12V inline fuel shutoff solenoid (as required by the rules), and a handelbar mounted switch he can activate without hands leaving the bars.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated, I'm sure.

I will direction him to this forum as soon as I'm done here.

His bike is an older Honda 750 (carburated).

This doesn't need to be overly complicated. Have the rider call Schnitz Racing etc and order up a nitrous "fuel" solenoid, with the appropriate fittings, he can mount it in-line with the fuel line just like a fuel filter. I assume he already has an ignition kill tether switch, if not he can order one at the same time. It will be simple to power up the solenoid with with the ignition power supply and then both the tether switch and handlebar "run" switch will kill both his ignition and fuel. If time is a factor, there are fuel solenoids commonly used in industrial diesel engines and he may be able to get a 12 volt version.

Drew, there are multiple manufacturers of fuel solenoids, lots of them used in N20 applications.  If his old Honda has an engine kill rocker switch on the throttle side, he can tie into that to apply and kill power to the solenoid.

754, your passport renewal was rejected. You will need to enter the USA from the Mexican Border to be able to get to B'ville again.

That also requires a regression thru Mexico to get back to CallonnA so your Mother can make breakfast for u.

I assume your "single stick" reference is to the single overhead cam.  My bike is a 1975 CB750 K5 which is almost exactly like the sandcast 1969's.  It's a great old bike and has the single overhead cam.  My old college buddy and I are riding it (he is the monkey).  So it is not just a wheel on a stick.  We are holding to the idea that a side hack should carry a person.

Cool where are you from?
 I got a lot of sohc 750s, and wanted to run it in sidecar but in 1000cc... did not happen yet.

 I rode my wore out 836 with Webers on it, to Bub in 07, barely made it back but hey.. 25 yrs that motor was together..

 Next one will be 970cc, good rods, to be able to run a blower later.
