Maybe the Propster will buy e=motion as the basis for his next vehicle?  Yes, as of an hour ago the Primetime Team owners are selling the electric car and their UK Outright Land Speed Record holding jet car 'Vampire'.  Funds are needed to defray the costs of the attempt.  Disposal will also allow them to return to 'normal' lives after an intensive 5 years with the electric car programme.

Malcolm,

Did I read that right as the E-Motion team is now selling the ABB Car they just used for the FIA attempt? Is that why its at detroit and not a shipping dock somewhere?

The Detroit visit is a sponsor commitment and was not part of the decision to sell.  The car belongs to Primetime - Colin and Mark.  Indeed unless a US racer wishes to tackle FIA records, I feel sure the car will return to the UK.

Joe - they are racers, as they are keeping their jet car 'split second' for demonstrations and maybe further speed record attempts.  This car driven by Mark has held the outright UK record.

May be you have a different definition of being a 'racer', but it woulkd not serve their families to become bankrupts now - would it!

Joe,

I think your post is "disgusting" as well and you should be ashamed.....

The two car designers both hold NUMEROUS FIA records between them, now why are they not racers again????

Remarkable, and it has been and is.
What have We learned from this ?

You get more for the copper if you remove the insulation first. At one time it was common to burn it but that may not be considered safe and so it is disallowed as are many things.

What kind of rollover protection does the e=motion car have?

And if it's for sale, how much?

Car passes FIA/SCCA/MSA UK inspection but would fail SCTA Tech, as can be seen from the ABB photos.

Cost - make Colin and Mark an offer soon and perhaps it would not even have to leave the USA.

I will pass on any figures - e mail me personally if you wish.

ABB has a US television commercial showing a "record breaking car". Is that the e=motion car?

Jon, whats with the disapearing posts.  Are we no longer allowed to ask questions or debate issues, or was this (I hope) just a case of you accidently erasing relevant posts?   Bob

Larry - if there is an ABB advert showing 'e=motion' then the only record breaking done is the unofficial UK speed that exceeded the current record.  The word 'breaking' might refer to the item in the VSD unit!  As far as I know the only car ABB has sponsored is the Primetime electric car but if they showed the team's jet cars then both of those have held the Outright UK speed record.

Bob - what has gone missing?  If you have a question on the Primetime speed bid in Nevada or a comment that needs an answer I will try to provide either.
