Dreaded Newbie Intro

Hello - I was at one time registered 3 or 4 years ago. Life intervened and and I have been absent even though I would visit on occasion I didn't re-register. I have been building a belly tank lakester over the past years and the learning curve is steep. I hope to have it rolling soon.

Sometimes it is even tongue in cheek without going through teeth to get there and other times it is with foot in mouth.
You will find experts in every area of LSR and lots of others to be sure they get it right.

I give much credit to people I met on this board for the progress I've made to date - Sumner, Sparky, and that Aussie fellow John Brougham (SP?). It was his web site build diary and a Cad engine build article 3 years ago in Hot Rod mag that got me hooked. Shaun345

It seems to me that many questions are answered even before they are posted in this website.
The topics cover so much ground that sometimes you don't even have to ask.
Post your fotos whenever possible. So many people get so much info that way.

I'm sure large amounts of cash means different things to different people, but I've wondered how little some of the entries cost.

I've seen several relatively inexpensive looking bike entries, and Evil Tweety comes to mind when talking cars. The safety equipment alone and travel expenses can sure add up quick, but how much are people really spending?  There is a 150mph club car for sale for $6500 and you could sell the car when you're done if you're so inclined.

I figure I can't take it with me, so better enjoy life while I'm still able.

I noticed long ago that the upcoming birthdays all seemed to be "distinguished gentlemen" (is that the PC term) and that there is a lot of information to be gained from them.

FYI John Brougham's tank hit the 200mph mark a couple of years ago and looks good in a mean black, see photo.
