Class change

I am changing classes in 2022 and was wondering if I have to change car numbers? In the rule book it seems to say if you change classes at an event you have to have a new number assigned but does that apply if I change classes when I register for next years speedweek?

A number change only applies when you are running at the same event. You eill not need to change your vehicle number for next year.

. . . also -- you can use your number for a completely different vehicle in another meet.  It's your number.
