According to my 1961 copy of HOT ROD MAGAZINE,he is running the C.H.car with 2 supercharged Lincoln engines.

Hot Rod Magazine

I remember seeing him with his streamliner with body covers off  it had four 406ci Ford engines. It was a while back the magazine had some sorta auction of his stuff it showed that and a Turbine streamliner of his. I have the magazine at the shop see if I can find that picture article

The 4 engine ..then 2 engine ... became the his first turbine liner. Don Ferguson has the second one in his shop.

Alex Tremulis gave me the original drawings for a proposed car for Ermie. Unfortunately, I haven't seen them since the divorce.

The shape makes me all tingly inside, but I'm guessing the air doesn't stay attached on the trailing side of those wheel covers?

I visited the Beaulieu car museum on the weekend (Sunbeam, Golden Arrow, Bluebird) and the wheel arches are reminiscent of the Big Blue Bird - I wonder if that provided any influence?

You mean the wheel arches like on the Railton of John Cobb? Or the Auto Union? Or??????
It seems to me Wheel "arches" are a direct result of the size of the tires (tyres for my British friends) vs. the size of the car body.....

I don't think that the "Railton Special" of John Cobb would get through SCTA safety inspection. Looks like any consideration of the drivers safety was not important. He must have had "big ones"!

Kiwi Steve would rip him a new one. Structure looks safe but would get him on tube diameter :-D
