Greetings,
A real good friend of mine is wanting to have a machine shop rebuild his Studebaker engine. From what he can tell its a 289 engine out of a 63 or 64? Lark. He lives here in Utah, but he is willing to send it out of state if needed. He mentioned that he may want the engine balanced and blueprinted.
What machine shop would you recommend doing this work?
Also, the vehicle he is putting this in is a 53 Studebaker Pickup. He is thinking about putting a different rear end in, than the stock one. Is there one that is a better match to the stock configuration than others?
The frame has not been altered at all.
TIA
Clay
