Hi!
I´ve been lurking around this forum for a while now and thought it was time to introduce myself and the team.
My name is Jim Nilsson and i am one of three members of Team Black Hole Racing. The other two members are my brother Linus and our friend Lars-Erik.
The whole thing started about 2,5 years ago when Lars built a, what we thought back then, big valved pulsejet-engine and mounted it to a kicksled which we brought to Speedweekend On Ice in March 2010. We hade some starting issues with the engine due to lack of experience but we got it running and recorded a speed of ~70 km/h (GPS) before it carved down into a softer part of the ice and sent Lars flying in one direction and the kicksled flipping in the other.
The damage wasn´t that bad (to either the sled or Lars) but we din´t manage to do another run that weekend.
Here is a couple of pictures of the kicksled:
And a Youtube-clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zgc1yqICIIWhen fall came we started planning our project for next years event. Repairing and tuning the old vehicle seemed a little boring and as a great man once told me ”everything you do, you can do better with a big one”. So we decided to go big...
The plan was to take my mothers old worn-out snowmobile (Yamaha ET400T/R), remove the engine, rear skid and track and build an engine that would fit in the tunnel under the seat.
But while me and Linus started preparing the snowmobile, Lars went bananas with the engine-design.
Long story short, instead of putting the engine in a snowmobile we had to build a snowmobile around the engine...
And here´s how it ended up!
Last weekend we went to a vintage tractor-pulling event to watch our friend Olle drive his BM Bison 470 powered by a Rolls Royce Meteor V12-engine and we were asked to bring our engine as entertainment during the events lunchbreak.
Here´s the videos:

If you want to read more about the build process of the big engine i recommend you to read through our project-thread on pulse-jets.com.
It would take me forever to write about all the hundreds and hundreds of hours we spent drawing, cutting, welding, milling, turning and assembling this baby.

I am well aware that this post doesn´t, even by far, explain what we have built and how it works but i will try my best to answer any questions.
Cheers
