Cool Shirt question

I've worn a cool shirt (the brand) for a long time, but with my new (last year's) seating and Hans device, it quit. It appears that the hans crushed the tubes and stopped the water flow. Has anyone else had that problem, and does the "new" shirts that are out have that problem also?

Ed good question, have you tried to blow low pressure through it to see if they will open? See you on the salt.

Good suggestion Glen, think I'll go try it. I'm afraid the Hans will just re-crush them tho......

Put a piece of foam over it, something  a 1/4 in thich might work wher the hans hits.

It is probably just a case of an edge of the HANS device pinching the tube shut. I think the tubing is vinyl or something similar so it should open back up when the load relaxes. Glen's suggestion is a good one to try.

"I seem to remember" that the cool-shirts have been re-designed recently to avoid this problem.

CALL THE COMPANY TO VERIFY!  (didn't mean to yell . . . .) or check a recent advert?

I'll bet they fixed that problem by changing to a vinyl tube like that used in oxygen systems for COPD patients. It has an ID that has reinforcing ribs instead of a smooth circular ID; this makes it far more resistant to being pinched shut.

The photos on their web site show a shirt with no tubes running over the shoulder.... I'm sure that is for the HANS..... Just wondering if any body else has (had) that problem........ Guess I'm gonna have to spend some more money. What the hell, it's only dirty paper! See all on the salt!
