I am about to build a new SS header for my car. I would like it to play double duty and also work as a bike header. I am suggesting building a standard dimension turbo busa header except in the car application mounting a flanged pipe where the turbo mounts to the header and piping it around and up to facilitate better car mounting for the turbo.
basically taking a header like this one and mounting a 3" u bend pipe to the flange at about 3' in length and mounting the turbo to it. I could remove the 'mid pipe' for running in the bike.
My questions is that I am concerned that there will be a problem with 4-5" joining so close to the head then connecting to a much longer run.
Most applications I have seen keep the tubes from head to collector are longer then the distance from the collector to turbo......
Am I over thinking this?
