Transmission controller
« on: January 05, 2010, 10:50:05 AM »
We are running this controller in our 6363 A/BG ALT and our 5735 AA/BGL.
I can't imagine going back to a conventional shifter.

My buddy has been developing this system for twelve years. Working pretty good now.

I did talk to Jon before I posted this so please don't take it as advertising. Just wanted to share the latest technology.
Thanks for viewing.

Oh yeah, one more thing.
John is working on the valving so that we can use pulse width modulation to apply first gear while using a converter eliminator.
This will let us pull out from a dead stop at Maxton without a push truck. Not a hard launch of course but it won't stall when we put it in gear.
We currently can pull timing for up to .9 sec directly after a shift is made to soften the shift and prevent tire spin.
We are also talking about using PWM to soften the shifts.
Now that the hardware is working great, we can continue to add new software features and it's really not that big a deal.
It's been a lot of fun to help him with the development.
