records of past years (decades) entrants @ SW

Are there records kept/archived of entrants in (decades) past Speed Weeks?  I'm thinking, back to the early '70's.

Thanks

Records are availbale in a some what spotty nature. Not all the dta has been archieved. Look to publications of the era, Hot Rod, Rod and Custom, etc. for stories about events and the records set.

There are rumors of a book under investigation which will attempt to complie all the known records from sources into a single volumn.

Right before I sold the website, I started inputting these into spreadsheets. I had about 15 years worth. If you look on the Speedweek page there are a couple years in the 1970's that have results. I do not see were anything has been added since I sold the website. I had added pictures of the programs, and was getting entries and results posted. However, I did not get it all posted before I sold the website. I was always the mindset that if the website was going to be "Premier" the information was important to the website.

It was a painful task to get it done, and accurate. However it just takes time to do. I had enough material to compile the records from the 1950's to current.
