Wasn't that 2004?

2005, if I remember right, was a rain-out. Speedweek was cancelled halfway through after a death, the Bub meet went off fine, WOS was cancelled and Finals was cancelled.

2006, Speedweek went well, the Bub meet went well, we got 2 days into WOS and the storm blew in and we had to load up in an inch of water, and Finals was cancelled.

Am I right or all messed up?

Yes, the movie set was World Finals 2004.  Time slips showed 47 to 66 degrees.  Car ran like crazy.

Yikes, I guess I'll bring all my rain gear. But if it's anything like drag racing in the Southeast, the only way it won't rain if is I don't go.

snowflakes falling........got to the Wyoming border........
and the entire length of Wyo. had I-80 closed due to a monster
blizzard took Jon and I two days to get through........stranded on highway
at times waiting for highway to open up.....once sections of highway opened
we were stopped again due to the truck stops/gas stations being out of fuel.....

Yep - our fastest run ever was Oct '04 . . . and I got to see the Redhead trailered through the pits!   (She was out for the movie.)

I guess people do read my posts. At my age the years and events all run together.

Yes, I know it can get cold.  But a couple times I've been there and the high for the day was in the 60s.  And 60s at Bonneville is downright pleasant.  T-shirts and shorts even for us wusses from SoCalĀ®.  (Hope I didn't infringe on anyone's copyright.)

I have seen snow in Bendover that would make you believe that running on the salt would be impossible.
I was cold for sure and the wind chill on the 1 open bike rider on private time had to have been brutal but the conditions were actually very good.
That is where I met SSS when he was doing a commercial for Nikon and the clouds were forming so bad the film chopper had to run him between the shadows , just to get a daylight shot.
We ran the next day and the clouds SSS was trying to duck made a lot of snow in town.
We continued the trip through SLC to Denver to visit some business interests and never saw such blizzards and upside down big rigs.

   OBTW: I think I see a pattern.
Could it be Global Forming ?

I was wondering why everyone in the Bonus  features of Worlds fastest Indian were wearing such heavy coats. Now I know the rest of the story.
Thanks for the info.
