Potential competition for M/T tire -yahwoo
« on: June 30, 2007, 01:04:18 AM »
Rumor has it that recently fired and divorced Goodyear tire engineer Robert Bizzerkawitz has found funding from the Wisconsin walnut growers assoc. to start a venture with his brother inlaw and famed Akron Ohio scrap yard magnate , Cal Carlson. Cal had horded several discarded Goodyear  landspeed tire molds dating back to the Mickey Thompson era.  Now that Bizzerco Bob is out of work they have set about to save landspeed racing. Coincidently and a strange irony, that northwest lumber producer Mark Weyrhauser whom I approached several months ago before Mike Cook landed the M/T deal, had alreaded put the wheels in motion to produce his version of a modern landspeed tire. I was privilaged to be in on a conference call when the two party's agreed in principle to not desert there effort due to competition, and to work together to produce broad coverage of sizes for the land speed community.  Further more they have agreed to co-sponser a land speed event on Lake Superior the next time it freezes over as wallnut shell and sawdust have scientifically been proven to have the highest coefficient of traction known. Both parties will be taking orders soon. hopefully competition will bring the prices down. LOL

It don't know if I have met him, but after reading his prior posts again tonight, I feel he has his tongue in his cheek, feet firmly planted , and a good grip on reality.

He has the mix in any grade you select.
Are you running out, or just shopping for a cheaper source ?

Seriously, unless your as old as Dolan, Desoto Man, or I you may not remember saw dust or ground walnut shell winter tires. Recappers mix it in the rubber compound and it offered excellent ice and snow traction. Only down side was poor wear. Studded tires ended there use. I am convinced we should revisit this technology. I am taking start up money from investors and expect to have 10 million shortly. I will take no salary for first three years , but will use all funds for R and D, production and the build of 500mph test vehicle stream liner. I expect the entire land speed community to get behind both the development of the tire and the stream liner. Thanks to all in advance for your suggestions and support.   Yours in speed and safety,  Racer Geo

George,
Your rims won't work without major re modification. Thanks for the offer. Mark Weyrhauser, really, one of our ex Deputies is married to his daughter. I thought he passed away cause our ex Deputy is very busy now and very wealthy.
