Post by: arnie on March 31, 2011, 09:26:35 PM
The Texas mile has been moved to Chase air field in Beeville Texas and registration for the May Texas Mile opens on April 11 at 9AM central standard time!  Don't miss your chance to race at the first event in our new location.

That's a surprise. I didn't know that Texas didn't use Daylite Savings Time.

You will have to excuse Ryan, his head is still up in the clouds. He finally got in the 200mph club last weekend.

The website says standard time too.

Beeville is 30 miles southwest of Goliad.

you guys are nutty: CST vs CT....

In 10 years of living / working in Texas, i've never heard anyone use CST to say specifically daylight savings time.
We use "CST" all year around.

CT = Connecticut.
I believe that's a very small state somewhere East of Texas.  May be wrong.

I really don't know why we don't just use TT (Texas Time)

Give Ryan a break.
Don't pick on him just because he prances around the pits in a pink tutu (and a mighty short one at that).

Sorry I couldn't help myself, the image of a guy in a pink tutu is disturbing. Tony

Not to detract from the tutu conversation, but...

Do we know which runway and what direction that vehicles will run on the new track?

Thanks  :-D

Some thoughts after the final run has been made at Goliad County airport. No fatalities in the many years we ran at Goliad. Very few accidents that required a visit to the hospital. Thousands of runs made safely. The fastest run ever made, anywhere, on a sit on bike. Bill Warner, 1300cc turbo Busa, 278+.  The track record,324mph by a jet funny car.
A big thanks to Ryan Arnold, Jessica, and all of the Texas Mile crew for the many years of providing us with a safe, fast place to race.
We look forward to our new home at Chase Field in Beeville!!
