Title: Metal valve stems
Post by: oldkamikaze on February 02, 2011, 10:01:25 AM
Hi Bill Here.  Metal valve stems on motorcycles, do the have to be straight or 90 degree.  If they are 90s should I run them with the wheel or come out the side.  Thanks in advance Bill

straights are the best.

pretty sure some org. won't allow 90's.

at one time (still?), 90's had to be safety wired.

a rule book for where one plans to run is needed.

I am pretty sure that the flexible 90's were only legal up to a certain speed and had to be safety wired.  The steel 90's are ok for ECTA as is.
