Anyone from NC, SC, FL, VA, MD etc.. going to Loring,,, thinking of hooking up along the way ?
We are leaving on Wednesday the 28th.

Where is the car/trailer departing from and when ?
We hope to leave Winston Salem, NC around 3pm. ( I am trying to leave a little sooner)
I would like to get to Loring (Presgue Isle is where Hotel is) By 11pm Thursday night. So can be well rested and to the track by 8:00am Friday.

Leaving Long Island at 0530 on Thursday ... should be in Loring at 1700 ...

I'm flying into Greensboro from Florida on Monday and will be staying with Luke's in Winston-Salem.
Then we head to David Maty's place in Raleigh sometime Wednesday afternoon, so we can get on the road by 4pm.
Rough plan is to get to North Haven, CT ~2am, and get a hotel room ....
.. Sleep till 9am, get on the road by 10, get to Loring by 7-8 at night Thursday.
Not sure where exactly David's address is, but will try to find out.

David was unable to get a dyno booking for when he was off work, so it looks like Luke and I may have to go to Raleigh for some pulls on Tuesday and not sure if we will go back to W-S or not.

Hey y'all-
Brian Lohnes (BangShift.com) & I will be attempting to merge in with caravans on Thurs... I'm in my incredible hulk o' junk green '56, and he's in who knows what. He mentioned Keith Turk will be rolling through Mass on Thurs too, so Keith is target numero uno. Brian mentioned he might be picking up the Freiburgler at the airport, so we'll see how that affects timing. 'Cause ya know, airlines are ALWAYS on time, right?

I will be leaving Winchester on I-81 early in the morning and will keep an eye out for folks. The blue ninja should be easy to spot on the open trailer. By the way, I will have a second bed available at the Hampton fri-sat and along the way back and forth if someone is still looking to save a little cash. I will probably head a few hours south after the lobster fest to make Tuesday an easier day.

I am leaving Thursday morning if all goes as planned and aiming for Portland that night. I will be taking a route up 81 and across to Binghamton and Concord.
Of course, my plans didn't include getting hit by credit card fraud yesterday which resulted in cancellation of the card and a replacement being received by Wednesday. I may end up with a delayed departure and/or spectate/volunteer only if I don't get this worked out by Thursday am. I had hoped to be back full-time by June and doing this easily out of cash flow but that change now happens mid-August so gas and rooms are going to have to be on credit one way or another. Considering the number of folks out there out of work, II have no room to complain. :cheers:

Milt, I am sure they will have you a replacement card very quickly. That happend to me and AMEX had me a new card the next day. See you Friday (I should get to the Hmapton Inn in P.I. late Thursday night 11pm or sooner I hope.. Be at the track between 8am and 10am Friday depending on what time we get to the Hampton on Thursday evening.
