Has anyone got any experience with stroking Honda Blackbird engines? Are there any companies out there doing cranks?

Well -- I got the stroker crank for my ZX12 from Farndon - someplace in the Midlands of Britain. I will not recommend them, though -- they promised 6-8 week delivery -- and got it to me in 16 MONTHS! I haven't run the motor yet -- will do so next weekend at Maxton. Then I'll have more information about their work.

Marine Crankshaft in Santa Ana Ca. does lots of motorcycle cranks.

That's the name. I couldn't think of it -- so thanks, Fred. As I remember the story, Mike Rich -- our builder at the time -- couldn't find an American vendor that would make the one-off billet crank for us. That's why we did not go to Marine. Afterwards, though I discovered that they might have made it after all. Ah, the lessons we learn. Among them is that we have a new builder/crew chief.

I would reccommend Falicon www.faliconcranks.com about the best in the business.

Dave at Marine crankshaft is the best in the business for either crank journal repair, polishing, stroking or destroking..he also can make Billet crankshafts as well..

I have been enjoying David's service at Marine Crankshaft for many years. Can't go wrong with Marine Crankshaft. Find his ad in the back of the rulebook.

I just got a billit crank one off to my specs from Crower. They have made one off rods for me before and I liked them. FYI

Best 140$ I spent on the turbo motor.
(balance, nitride and polish)
Will use them for crank work on the new engine (G class - big bore busa) I have sitting in the garage waiting for love and affection.

I had Falicon do a 5mm weld up stroker on the Busa, it worked great..they were also able to repair a journal later on when we threw a rod but that was due to an oil line breaking, not their craftsmanship. I'll probably throw it in the street bike now.
I bought a 10mm offset billet stroker from APE, we have yet to run it, hopefully it will be on the dyno next month.
Marine de-stroked a 600RR Honda crank 7.25mm for our 500 turbo project. I should note that Marine was the only company that I contacted that who was interested in the challenge when the others said it couldn't be done.

Greg at Rody Machining made a short stroke billet crank for our Honda CBR600.
It's a work of art and I highly recomend him. Located in Plymouth Michigan.

What Hensley said.
RoDy also did my fully counterweight billet crank for the 2.3.
Greg makes all kinds of cranks. Provides rough billet parts to Moldex.
Is very well known for saving hurt forged or billet cranks.............
AND he does what he says he will do.

Dave destroked my Busa 14.6mm to working the 1000 class and it held up and set 6 records in the bike and the weeel ona steeek..

Oh, come on John,.........Willie does not like the term "weeeeeel on a steeeck" even though George Brown used it many decates ago, when he set many records on his Vincent outfit......but then again Willie does
not know who George Brown is ......do you Willie???????
