Thought I would get this started!! I will be there Saturday and Sunday and get some speeds up.
Fred
-
Fred, I'll be at the mini storage business with customers this Saturday, but other than that -- feel free to send stuff to me to post if you get too busy or involved. Or go ahead and do the expected great job of letting us know what's going on.
Best wishes for a fun and SAFE time for all.
-
Good luck to all, looks like great weather.
-
Yup, I just looked, temp 65dg, wind SE 6mph. Not bad, they run from west to east.
-
Good luck and safe journey everyone!! Go Fast!! Stay upright!! Have a fantastic time!!
Lynda
-
Only thing I have heard, as about noon, Karl(Entropy) is the only one over 200mph. Bocking a pretty good headwind.
-
Well shinola, I was hoping for a tailwind.
But Karl breaking 200 into it sounds hopeful for him, not bad for the TFA CEO sucking air and burning gas.
-
Just nread Guy C(tiger racing) did some all motor shakedown runs best of 208, Trick Tom 2 shakedown low boost best 232. Tom said the win was too bad to go any faster. I'll be there in the morning when they start!!
Fred

TeamFatAzero is having a ball!!!
yesterday until 2-3-ish, wind was 5-7 mostly right on the nose; i was happy w/202.6; Guy Caputo was happy with 207-8 on motor, Gen 2 Busa folk not so happy w/188-195 (california kid = bill)
TrickTom running 230's, Bill warner 240's, both doing shakedown/tuning passes
bright sun, wall to wall blue sky.
Guy Caputo (Tiger Racing) and his Norwegian bud, T(Texas gumbo champ), are setting new standards for trackside hospitality. Thu night = 10gallons of seafood bisque, last night = margaritaville, tonight = a dang huge witch's caldron of chili. TeamFatAzero now considers Guy & T our patron saints.
-
Wow, Guy never cooks like that for us at Maxton! Maybe he's trying to slow/weight them all down! :-D
Good luck all & stay safe!
Debbie
-
WTG Karl, Tiger, Tom, Bill, et al. Good luck today, may the wind be at your backs.
Bill Warner 240s? Is he riding someone else's bike? Thought he was out for this year, that rocks
Dean

Real windy today. Tom ran early, before I got there, didnt better yesterday.Acouple of corrections from yesterday:
Brenda Sue ran 184 not 180.4
Erin Brown 211 missed that qand I was around him all day.
Today: Bill Warner tried the fairing again, too much cross wind took em off and ran 255 again, maybe twice

All-bike meet?
i'm a bike guy, thus the bike bias.
there was an orange Lamborgini that pulled 250mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i don't know the exact speed)
-
I saw a lomborghini go 240 yesterday. Maybe DickJ will jump in with some car stuff. Karl and I are bike guys in case you cant tell. :-D
Fred
-
It was a lamborghini that went 250. Not a maserati. I don't care for them, just wanted to varify. And the same car also went 240.

I spectated saturday. DickJ was kissing 200, believe he missed by less than a mph or two (don't know about sunday). Lsrracer ( Richard) was pitted next to Dickj. His crewchief Gary was driving this event, and got his 200mph t shirt! Great turnout, met some wonderful forum members...Also got to meet the world famous Fred Vance!!
-
Jdeleon, I am blushing.
Fred
-
I as well attended as a spectator on Saturday and was privilaged to meet & watch Fred, Gary, & Dick make their passes!!.... Thank you, Richard (Lsrracer), Dickj, Gary, and their crew for making us feel at home in your pit area.

Stan
Stan,
me too, i'd hate to hit the marker, but the perspective is deceiving.
The markers are not at all close to the track.
The photog is w-a-y away from the track, telephoto lens.

While slightly shadowed by Toms remarkable 261 blast the runs of Bill Warner (Widlbro) should be noted.
Bill madetwo 255 MPH naked runs at Texas last weekend. Although just slightly better than his top speed last year, 255 is by FAR the fastest naked passes ever, anywhere! My hat is off and glass raised to both Bill and Tom for their unbelievable performances.
-
Very true Scott, if you assume a stock Hayabusa fairing is worth at least 10mph, maybe closer to 15, then Bill would be passing through ludicrous speed. Who knows what his swanky custom bodywork will be worth once it's dialed in. -Dean
-
I agree with both of ya'll, Bill is a bad man on a mission, scary that he now has fairies :-D

Is that worse than chiggers ?
Bill is a farmer, y 'know........
-
Yes, he is -- but do fish have chiggers?
-
No chigger on fish...they get Ick.
Lynda
-
:? Short for tick? Crow.
-
No, Ick ...kind of like chicken pox. Which has nothing to do with how fast Bill went, or how fast he's going to go!!

Ich is Ichthyophthirius. White spots on fish. Treatment is Salt and/or Formaldehyde.
Thanks everyone.
We don't know for certain I will go faster with fairings, so far reality has shown me going slower by the end of the mile. Maybe some day I'll get it worked out. I have some good help!
