Maybe I missed it... is there any info on a Banquet Dinner etc... ?

I haven't seen any "official" word, but it's always been on the Saturday of the April meet. Last year it was at the local college, as it was for a couple of years before that. It'll be catered, I expect, by Jerry's Barbecue -- the restaurant that's right next to Pine Acres motel. Decent food, lots of laughter, a nice evening, even though the music provided by the college is bagpipes.
Now -- let's see if I've got anything wrong. All I know for sure is that our business -- Kudos Laser Engraving -- has not been asked to provide the trophies for the awards part of the banquet. Nancy and I will be at the banquet, for sure, with Nancy dressed to the nines (like she usually does for a big deal like this.

Yep .... you still have time to get a payment sent to Tonya and reserve your spot !!
The 2010 race season is quickly approaching and it's time to get your 2010 Membership and Medical Form completed and sent in, so you will be ready to get down to the business of racing.
ECTA Awards Banquet
Also, don't forget to reserve your seat for the Awards Banquet, which will be held on Saturday night, April 10th at St. Andrews College.
The price remains $20 per person and reservation / payment must be received by March 27th.
See you there !!

Uhh ummmm, sorry Jon, but this year the dinner will be catered by St. Andrew's catering staff.

Thanks for the reminder everybody, almost forgot. Steve, can we look forward to the whole Red Hot team back in April?

The last 2 years I have paid at the track on the weekend of the banquet. Are you saying I won't be able to go this year if I don't send in the check by the 27th ? Just askin why the change?

I pre paid last year for two dinners, but we did not stay over Saturday night and did not go. I heard it was a great event,,
I am not going to miss it this year...

We need to know how many are attending because we have to order the food before we get to Maxton. There may not be any tickets available by April 10th.

Charles,
Should have been a form for the banquet in with the '10 membership/medical/pre entry/tire waiver form package we got awhile back. Was in package I rec'd.

Ed is correct, it was a tick box on the 2010 Membership renewal form, which you have to fill out anyhow to race in the upcoming season. Cost was $20 per person.
If you neglected to do that, quickly send a note and check to Tonya at;
Tonya Turk
206 Sylvan Drive
Enterprise, AL 36330
.. but better get cracking, you only have 14 days left before the due date expires !!
:-o

Yep, looks like everyone will be there.
Can't wait to see you all and my LSR family again and go racing !!

Good to hear that we'll have different food this year (well, the fact that it's being catered by college staff implies said information). I've had enough of Jerry's barbecue for a while -- will enjoy trying some other NC food instead.

I'm looking forward to the change in the caterer, just because it's a change! My $20 was just sent in with my pre-registration.

As a West - Coaster, but avid reader of all things Landracing, I'm a little concerned that a few ECTA members, because their previous comments have indicated they race with a bit too much left side weight in the car, seem to be more interested in the banquet menu, than in going faster.
We all have our priorities, I guess.
In all seriousness, though, hope ya'all have a great time!

After a day of racing, some racers feel the need to add some additional "ballast" !!
