Well, so far this is the best video I have of me at the Zmax Dragway. man this is a big and intimidating place,, look how small the Vicky looks from the stands....
This run was a ET of 11.218 at 121.92 MPH
From the link it views ok on full screen. (double click blue link for full screen)
<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid261.photobucket.com/albums/ii43/cajunkid5690/DSCN0977.flv">

Cool -- looks like you managed to stay in front the whole track. I would've know for sure if your photographer hadn't chosen to have us check out the clouds though. Kinda reminds me of the on-bike video that I got last weekend at Maxton, although the second run didn't get rec orded -- which is good since I carried the front wheel about a foot off the ground through all of second and part of third -- so I could see the sky, you know.

Yes Jon I stayed out front all the way, the closest he was to me was when we staged... if you look close at the end you can see the the left timing lights come on first showing an 11.21 at 121 mph. then all you see is clouds.
Joe was filming and looked up to see my win.... guess he forgot the camera would move with his head ...LOL

Nice run Charles. Is Zmax the new strip there at the Charlotte Motor Speedway?
-
Yes Zmax is the new Dragway across from Charlotte Motor Speedway,, it is the new 4 lane strip. Has 2 big time NHRA events (Big money bought those dates) also has hosted Pinks All Out and Pass Time TV shows.
It is a great place,,, BIG...NEW....Clean...State of the Art as far as drag racing goes.
I wish we had a 2 or 3 mile straight away as nice as this close by,,, I prefer LAND SPEED RACING and the LSR people are the BEST.
But to pass the time, I guess a few drags a year is OK.....

I can't load the pictures (what's new?), but by the look of the top one, it gets as large a crowd as one of Cook's meets.

Stan, In the still pic that is a view from the big John Force Grandstands looking at the start line area and the Jegs smaller stands,, they had that side closed and all the spectators and racers on the "big" side.
As to the video,,, looks like photobucket is having problems,, instead of clicking the picture itself,, try the blue text link above it,,, that should work,

Thanx, Charles. But my steam-powered Mac don't do those things. I got to keep it antique so I can make 1/4 of a living on the software I know. Don't want to confuse it.

Try this, Stan:

It's a short video. Might wanna put yer ear plugs in at first...the sound comes on like gangbusters.
Btw, Charles...I think ya needs a good videographer. Since my new Canon 7D does .mov video, ya want me to get video of it? I'll do it for free...just transportation, food and lodging. :) The commute from Utah might be a bit time consuming, tho.

You may want to check the link Ray. I got an error message when I tried to hook up.
Glad to hear you're having fun with the new camera.

Both of my links are working. Double click the actual picture or the blue text link above it.. seems like they are working now...
Oh well...

Take care, and keep up the good work,,, I know we all enjoy your pics and vid's

I got your link fine Charles. It was Ray's Tiny URL link that didn't work. Is that 'cause I was using my MAC?

It doesn't work on my PC
