looking to run some naked classes....
Question: Does a sloped headlight constitute streamlining or must the headlight be removed ?
-
It depends. There are rules for headlights, so read the book carefully. If you would be so kind as to give us the make and model of the bike we might be able to give you a more definitive answer. But -- some bikes do run in "naked" classes while carrying the factory headlight. I can think of a "standard" bike, with older-style round headlight (which size and shape is dicussed in the rules) and also a metric bike with the factory headlight assembly mounted right where it oughta be.
So -- what bike?

The original headlight mounted in the original location is legal for ECTA. Not sure if it will always be that way, Todd?
If you have an old-style round bucket headlight, it can't be tilted more than 5 degrees from vertical.

You might be asking yourself the wrong question. More than likely your headlight will cost you speed. You might want to take another look at it.

This is all academic until we know what bike he has, but if it's a Busa, I'd guess he's better off with the headlight in place.
