I have a new electric fuel pump in the roadster with a fuel pressure regulator. The line from the pump feeds into the regulator then runs out and up to the fuel log attaached to the carb with a guage on one end. The regulator has a threaded plug in it for fuel to return to the tank. Should I put a fitting in place of the plug and run a -6 line back to the tank? Carb is a 1050 Dominator, pump is good to 1000 HP.

on EFI suff the pressure regulator in now placed down stream from the "FED"

It's not EFI.

Dave if this is the pump (#1792) & regulator (#1727) you heve it is not a bypass type regulator. If you have a different type regulator that is a bypass type the fuel pump you are using does not require a bypass regulator so it would be up to you to bypas or not. I probally woundn't in this application but I don't know enough about your setup. You can see the above items at the Edelbrock web site.

Those are the two I have. Thanks for the input, just wasn't sure if I needed the bypass to be hooked up.

That regulator should be Edelbrock part number 1727.
It is a returnless regulator, meaning no return line is used. The plugged port would be a pressure gauge port, if it is 1/8 NPT.
