Can anybody here tell me what model of Seth Burn's C/PP record holding truck? He set the record March 07, before I had ever heard of the ECTA and doesn't appear to have run since. I'm just curious as to who/what I'm up against here.
"9487 C/PP Seth's Truck Seth Burns Mar-07 128.283"

Daniel, I did a little research in the record books and it looks like 'ole Seth came to Maxton in March 2007 with his truck, ran a 126.41337 MPH in the C/PP category that had a previous record of 117.54718 MPH.
He subsequently ran a 126.50044 MPH and 128.28371 MPH. Three records that day.
He must have done what he came to do, because no one has even run in the C/PP category since then, so I'd say you are just chasing an old record, not competing with an active team in that class.
Good luck

It was a dodge hemi street truck.

Thanks guys. I figured it was probably a HEMI due to the speed and the engine break. It looks like there really just hasn't been much interest in the PP side of the house lately. I woulda figured C/PP would be the most commonly entered since it represents most stock engines but what do I know. Oh well it's still sure to be a fun adventure noe the less. 8-)

Production Pickup doesn't mean (at least in the SCTA) stock engine. Take a look at the PP records in the SCTA Rule Book and you'll see what I mean.
In motorcycles, I understand, their Production bikes' engines have to LOOK stock. But that is not the rule for cars.

Forgive me, I meant to type stock displacement engines. My brain is moving faster than my fingers I guess. The first thing I did was get a copy of the rule book and read it, several times.

If I remember right, wasn't that a black truck with some custom interior doodads? I seem to remember a late model dodge out there running that event
