uh........i highly suggest you find and read a rule book
to have an idea of the requirements of the vehicle you
want to enter and race..............before you arrive...

I'll add my voice to the throng (?) -- many folks go to the Salt the first time without a race vehicle, just to learn many of the things you'll need to do.  I'm certainly not trying to discourage you from showing up with your bike -- more like letting you realize how much you'll need to do before we (the inspectors) allow you to run said bike on the Salt.  I can't speak for the Bub's inspectors (okay, scrutineers), but I know they, too, have a strict list of must-have's. Get a rulebook and read, read, read, and please feel welcome to ask us all a bunch of questions.  We'll probably tease you a bit -- and probably get cranky when you try to argue about the value of this rule or that one - but remember, they ARE the rules and we live by them, whether or not they might make sense to any one of us.  We sure look forward to having folks that are new to the avocation show up -- so bring it on and we'll have a blast.  See you on the Salt.

Just be aware that the Bub and scta rules are not identical... If you are thinking about attending both read and comply with both sets of rules.

Stainless1, is correct the BNI and the BUB rules are somewhat different......but not that much...............
Denis is making a great effort to make a level playing field for all of us M/C LSR people....some changes have been made for the 2009 rules......and other changes are comming in 2010...................................
Best of luck to all our M/C racers, both at Speedweek and the BUB....................................................
