Who would have thought that a build diary about a shop (not a car or bike) would be only the 5th. ECTA General Chat topic to break 5000 views ? Not me.... Thanks for all the views and kind words. I am not done yet but can see the finish line...
I Hope everyone in ECTA, SCTA, Land Speed Racers Worldwide and LandRacing.com folks all have a
Happy Thanks Giving

Hey, Charles -- it's easy to figure out why there have been so many page views on the garage project (at least in my mind it's easy). That is, many of us have a garage and usually it could use some updating or improvements. We share this need -- more than we share the building of a car or bike. I got a new garage last summer and am having a good time outfitting it -- bought the compressor last fall, bought the tools for the air system at Lowe's the other night (Nancy works there and theere was an opening/20% off deal for the employees and their families).
By watching you build your shop I've been given more things to think about going into mine -- and that's a good reason for others to have paid attention, too. Couple that thinking with the oddball stuff that each of us has got in his garage - stuff that's been more useful than we had originally expected -- and we share those ideas, too.
But -- what's this putting heat in the garage? Especially in NC -- who needs heat? This morning it was 17F outdoors and a toasty 29F in the garage. Plenty warm enough. . .

SSS,
We don't wear our leathers to work in down here LOL
However it was 17 degrees here early this morning. Must me some Canadian cold front that steered here instead of up yonder your way. Warmed up to about 40 by mid afternoon. Joe and I took off for a short trip in our Hot Rods, dumb me took my Roadster and it does not have any windows or heat... yep it was cold... he was toasty in his 34 coupe (with windows up and heat)..
Oh well, think I will opt for the 125,000 BTU flame thrower for the new shop since the shop is 60 feet long, gotta move some warm air,,,,
Be good,
Gotta go.

Hey Charles
I think 4000 of those views are my fault. I just keep looking and dreaming. The place looks fantastic. I cant wait to see what comes out of it.
