Seatbelts have generated some discussion in different threads on the forum so I am opening a new one for seatbelt harness install. I am at the point of installing the belts and did not feel comfortable with the limited info I had in hand. :? Even a search did not turn up much info and lots of people posting pictures of what they did because a manual was not readily found. Then I found a fantastic guide from a German manufacturer.
Below is a list of sites with some videos all should watch. :-o Remember the crash sled is traveling at 31 mph! The Competition_Instructions.pdf is a must read for all and should be part of the tech inspectors reference material.
The first one is typical of the information in rule books and on seatbelt manufacturers web sites. Not much substance. I have these belts.

A mag I get that is helping with some technical issues I wonder about and they have info with photos!

I was shocked to find this marketed. Although I have not seen it and there may be an anchor point to make it not movable. This shoulder harness bar will swing forward unless attached at the bottom of the curve causing you to move forward before the belt begins to do it’s work.

The 74 page install technical guide is found here. Hope this makes everyone a little or a lot safer! :-)
