Buiding a 53 stude tht's chopped with rounded front fenders, very similar to the old 411 Burklands car. Can anyone give me an estimate for the drag coefficient? Need a number to plug into the Gearplit program.I'm just guessing it at .34 or so.. it's chopped to 6" windshield height. planning a full belly pan.
thanks

Chopping won?t necessarily help the cd much but will reduce the frontal area. Which is a good thing. Your .34 is probably a reasonable number to start with. Once you get it on the Salt you can refine that number some more. May turn out to be even less: .33 or .32.

Recently reasearching cd for 1994-2005 S-10 pickup I contacted a guy who is an aero engineer in the auto industry. He had info from GM comparing the S-10 to the '83 Bird and the '53 Stude. They sited the cd for the Bird and the Stude at .30
The S-10 with all the Extreme stuff was noted at .33
