Keep off the Grass on the bumper has a dual meaning for those who know the signicance of the number 420! I didn't when i chose it! I'll save that story for later!

I should be there around 1:00 Friday afternoon. Where do you pit ?
What time do you think I could get my car Tech'd ?

Charles,
Not to worry, odds are tech will have started by the time you have arrived and unloaded. All sort of depends on who shows up when, how set up is progressing, phase of the moon etc. Plenty of time to take a break once in a while to soak the whole scene in and smell/enjoy the roses/coffee/[cotton?] as the meet progresses.
The relaxed "ECTA Family" type atmosphere is part of what keeps me coming back for more every chance I get.
Should be under way headed South in the morning, see you Fri Afternoon.

DCarr,
Thanks for linking the PIC, I think it is the only pic that I have to prove I was there on or near the track. In all the haste to get the car there and get ready for my run I forgot to ask on of my folks to take pics. My crew chief was at the line with me so he never had time either. This was our first ever meet so, some nerves and excitement kicked in. Kieth, Joe and Al had ne so scared about going over 125mph on my first. I shifted into 3rd. gear at 125mph then though Oh man I am less than 1/2 way so I backed off and then the little 'E" motor would not pick back up from 2000RPM's in high so I coasted thru at 103mph,,, after 2 1/2 hours in the line again, I got my second run on Saturday...I shifted into 2nd at 7500rpms, then into third at 7500rpms, it dropped to 4900 , I eased it up to 5100 and held it thru the traps.... woo hoo it was 126.98054 MPH a new class record and I got my "D" license in the same pass... I was feeling good, but bt then I was so hot I parked her for the day, I did not feel I had time for another run,, when Idecided to try for my 3rd run, we heard a loose rocker, so I did not run on Sunday, just stayed and watched the excitement. then me and my crew chief helped out the Speedster guy pitted next to us after his wild ride into the brush. He is a very nice buy, I think his name is Lanny and his crew chief is Gary (not sure but I think so. both very nice fellows. Glad he was Ok,,, I had a great time and it was a pleasure meeting everyone in person... See you all in September,,,stay in touch.
