Title: Fireproofing the cockpit
Post by: Loose Goose-Terry#1 on November 05, 2007, 11:40:34 AM
:? When designing the stearing/handlebar for my streamliner, can I use standard rubber motorcycle handlebar grips? Or is it required to be fireproof or no handlebar grips at all?
:? How about the seat covering and rollbar covering? Does even the foam inside the cover around the rollbar padding have to be fireproof too?

If you must error, error on the side of safety.

Rollbar padding must be SFI.  it's alot harder than the old foam stuff.

Can't tell you about the other stuff -  I don't think there is a specific requirement -  but don't knowq for sure!
